Weatherheads Band History

So the first thing Jim says is," I know a drummer who I’d like to bring in for a shot at this thing. " Keith Meicho got a call from John. " We already had a drummer but Jim asked to give this guy a chance. He and Jim had been the rythym section for the local Seattle band Mondo Vita in the eighties. They had created a stir and locally  were one of the most well known of their time. I figured the guy had to be decent." Keith came in and put the many months of screwing around with the wrong guys, guys who just couldn’t play very well or were fucking bizzare to an end with a few deft strokes of the sticks. " He took the harder edged songs and beat the living crap out of any other way I’d heard them played, " says John, " He was really spontaneous and I found it easy to egg him on with a glance or windmill on the guitar. Bart and Jim are a little more adult about their stage presence but Keith and I find it a snap to access our inner child." So It came to pass that one last firing needed to take place and the Weatherheads new line up would be intact.

The band rehersed and recorded the new CD "Skin Size" through most of 1999 and into 2000. It was officially released in June 2000. Jim’s song "Push My Car" was included on the Car Talk compilation CD "Disrespectful Car Songs".
